COACHES NEEDED!!

North St. Paul Basketball Association is limited to 5th Grade Travel Registration for the 2024/2025 Season because we are in need of coaches.   North St. Paul Basketball Association's goal for the 2025/2026 is to be able to offer registration for 4th-8th Grade Travel Basketball for both boys and girls.  If you are interested in coaching, and would like to help bring youth basketball back to North St. Paul, please fill out the coach's registration.

Our Mission

It is North St. Paul Basketball's mission is to teach youth players fundamental basketball skills and instill life lessons and values such as discipline, teamwork, character, sportsmanship, and respect. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills, learn life lessons, and, most importantly, enjoy the game of basketball.

Our Program

Welcome to North St. Paul Polars 5th Grade Travel Basketball.

  • This program is open to 5th grade boys living in or attending school in Independent School District 622 (public, private or parochial).
  • The competition at the traveling level is of a higher caliber. Players’ skill levels and abilities are more developed making the games competitive and fun.
  • Practice will be held twice a week and each team will play in approximately 5 weekend tournaments in the metro area. Players are expected to be at each practice and tournament, on time and ready to work hard.
  • Playing time for 5th Grade Traveling players can vary in each game and tournament, but we will strive to give equal playing time to each player. Players attendance, positive attitude, effort, sportsmanship, and coachability is expected at every practice and game. Coaches may make reasonable exceptions for illness/injury, foul trouble, documented disciplinary issues.
  • Players will receive a uniform that they will be responsible for through-out the season. Uniforms are required to be turned in at the end of the season.
  • A parent meeting will be held at the season kickoff. You will be required to notify the coach if you are not able to attend this meeting. Date and time to be announced. Watch your email.

Fees and Fundraising

We make every effort to keep participation costs low! This is accomplished through FUNDRAISING! Player and family commitment to fundraising is required for the success of our program! The fundraising is also meant to be a fun “community building” time where we join together as Polar Families!

Parent Volunteer hours are expected with each registration. You will have many opportunities to put in your 4 hours for the season to include our Home Hosted Travel Tournament on December 6th & 7th, 2024 and other fundraising events. Our program is only successful with the efforts from all of our Polar Basketball community members.
